Hey there sweet Beau,
I write this with a hint of sadness as you’ll be my last flutters, that turn into kicks, that turn into hiccups, that will eventually turn into a little bundle of joy. After you arrive I’ll be forced into a new “era” for me. One that doesn’t involve trying our hardest to justify trying for another child, anxiously awaiting plus signs on a pregnancy test and a big round bump. Don’t get me wrong though, there are no words to express how excited I am to meet and kiss your sweet face.
As the third boy you should know what you’re getting yourself into; so I’ve conjured up some vital information to help you prepare for whats to come when I bring you through that front door for the first time. As the youngest sibling I’m sure your older brothers will try to steer you into certain directions.. and you need to be prepared to read their intentions from the get-go.
Your oldest brother Wyatt is a caring one, always has been and always will be. He may get easily annoyed at your crying but rest assured, if you cry for too long he will get concerned and come striaght to your rescue. He’s also quite the talker.. He loves to share every little detail of his day, and sometimes he likes to narrate what he’s doing. He’ll talk your little ears off bud, but I need you to listen to him. He may come off as a chatty Cathy but you could learn a thing or two. He is wise beyond his 6 years.
Westin, your other big bro, is such a trip. He’s a rambunctious 2 and a half year old just trying to keep up with his older brother, as you will too I’m sure. He wants to accomplish everything Wy can do, and don’t ever try to tell him otherwise. If ever he tries to jump off of things, eat something that’s not food or attempts to break into the panty please come let your dad or myself aware. We promise it’ll be an anonymous tip. 😉 Just take mental note of his drive and perseverance.. he got that great quality from your daddy.
Oh, and your father? I made sure to snatch you a strong man who can carry the weight of the world on his shoulders.. and then some. He’s got the biggest hands you’ve ever seen son, and when he’s finally able to hold you be prepared to never want him to let you go. When I say an overwhelming feeling of peace will overcome you, it’s merely an understatement. Grab his finger tight too, he always tells me how much he misses your brothers tiny hands grasping onto his finger. He was raised to be tough and strict on little boys but I think your older brothers have softened his heart just a tad bit. Just don’t throw tantrums in public, don’t hit, and be sweet to your mama, and you’re guaranteed to get major brownie points with him.
And me? Well, this mama has definitely grown more patient since your oldest brother made me a mom. I may talk a big game but believe me, when you do come home you’ll be the boss of the house. I’m not always on my toes but I’ll loose sleep before you or your brothers do. My world exists only through you, your brothers, and your father. You’ll be my last baby but I promise you that you are all this family is missing. When you make your way through our doors you’ll fill a void so big you’ll be having your parents wondering what we ever did without you.
We will be seeing your face in 99 days or so. 🙂
