Happy Fall, Yall!! It’s officially my FAVORITE time of year! Though fall weather wont come around in Texas for another month or so I’m still happy as a clam! We have a nice breeze this morning and the leaves on the trees are turning yellow in color slowly but surely. Fall means a few things around the Stringfellow Household, it’s the start of park days for one, football, football, and more football, and it’s almost our littlest Stringfellow’s FIRST Birthday!
Both of them are getting so big, so fast. They are my greatest accomplishments and I am so proud of them. Children have a way of molding you into a better person. A caring, patient and understanding person. They can shape you in ways you never thought possible.
I’m about to go on a little bit of a rant. Here’s your fair warning! Scrolling through Facebook I always see posts that have some special way of making a Parent feel like total crap. It might just be me, but I’ll explain anyways.. I’m talking about the posts that say, ” If you’re not pregnant, raise your hand!” or even “I made it through the year without getting pregnant. Go me!”. Good for y’all! Seriously, you must be so proud of yourselves. I have this hunch though, that Parents make it through their whole lives with and for their kids, am I right?? Parents have a reason to wake up and do greatness because the future of our nation truly depends on our children. For clueless individuals, who know not of the true love that is bearing and bringing up your own child, I truly hope one day you’ll get to experience such a blessing and rethink your statements.
The world has so many negative thoughts floating around, literally about everything and everyone. Thoughts like these can deter your mind from thinking optimistic, I’ve been there and I’ve doubted myself more times than not. However, when I look at my children I have a reason to smile. Not only because they are so great to me, it’s because they need to know that home will always be the one positive place in their life they can run to. Children are the purest human beings on the face of this planet, why would you not want to praise parents for what they do, but rather brag that you are in fact without child? The logic doesn’t add up to me. Nonetheless, I’m living my life blissfully, the sounds of tiny feet running down the hall is what I live for. I was born to be a Mother and I definitely have the best job in the world.
